XENOPHOBIA IN SOUTH AFRICA

The core inspiration of my Capstone project roots from this video. Understanding Xenophobia in South Africa from neighboring countries perspectives. Xenophobia is trended to only be covered in media when violence breaks out, however I wanted to show that Xenophobia does exist outside of this media coverage. The violence is the extremity of South African's attitude, but the daily comments, action and objectification is equally as damaging. Here 3 African students are interviewed and share their views on the South African complex and what needs to be done to aid South African Xenophobia.

Belonging to yourself is a journey learnt through hardships, heartbreaks and healing. Heartbreak is displayed through routine and the speedbumps of daily life. This piece shows the raw nature of a broken heart living day to day life. How memories move with you and your routine. Surviving it, breathing through it and ultimately forgiving.
